About

When I was in high school I was able to witness the birth of my younger brother. I was in awe of the process and when I returned to school and shared this my friends did not feel the same way. It was then I realized how different my upbringing in a family full of strong women who supported each other in birth was.

Doula

After becoming interested in women’s health and childbirth at a young age I thought about becoming a midwife. I decided a great first step was to take a doula training. I loved discovering my innate skills I possessed to  support women. I had all of the skills I needed to nurture women during this important time. I came away with more knowledge and lots of tools to sere women. I became a Certified Birth Doula through DONA. I jumped right in and began volunteering with friends and teen moms through TAPP in San Francisco to gain as much experience as I could. Since 2012 I have been supporting women through childbirth from Santa Rosa to Santa Cruz.

Yoga

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years. After taking alignment-focused yoga class I felt an “aha moment.”  I fell in love with yoga and the effects a steady practice had on my mind, body and life. This style of teaching made sense and felt safe to my body and so many others around me. I believe yoga is for every body … especially pregnant bodies!

I completed Yoga Teacher Training at Yogakula in Berkeley in 2014 and completed a Prenatal Yoga Training in San Francisco in 2016. After managing a yoga studio and teaching corporate yoga at Salesforce, LinkedIn, Nerdwallet and other Bay Area companies, my husband and I moved home to Sonoma County in 2016. I began teaching pre/postnatal yoga after the move. It is so rewarding to combine my passions for birth and yoga to support women and families.

EDUcation

I am so honored and excited to be offering childbirth education as part of my practice. I feel passionate about normalizing the birth process through education. I have completed two childbirth educator trainings through ICEA and Lamaze International and am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE). I offer a safe space for new or seasoned parents to learn, ask questions, practice and increase their knowledge while decreasing fear.

My family

My husband Neil and I lived in the East Bay for the past five years. At the end of 2016 we moved to Santa Rosa to be closer to family and to find a community we want to have a family in and grow roots in. I grew up in Sonoma County and my husband in Napa. We love the North Bay and live in our dream home (still a fixer) with our chocolate lab Charlie (Charlotte Bronte). We love learning how to fix up our home, traveling, game nights and dinner parties, hiking and enjoying this beautiful area.
